Friday's Photolife--Swapping background and foreground

Last weekend I took pictures at the wedding of one of my nieces. Here's one of my favorite shots. It swaps up what we think should be front and center in a wedding picture, but it works. We all get the message of what is going on.

Application to writing? Sometimes I think we can focus on something other than the main subject and communicate the whole just as well if not better than when we put the main subject front and center.

I love that picture. And good advice about writing. I am going to put that into practice with what I am doing now.

What a gorgeous shot! There's a good writing analogy in there somewhere. I'm sure I'll think of it at three in the morning. ;) Have a great weekend Lois!

Hey! You're back, Lois. We've missed you. :o)

That picture is gorgeous. And I agree in the power of object focus (and in the power of thirds too) instead of looking directly at something all the time.

Great picture. Its application to writing makes perfect sense too. :)

So very true! What a great way to explain it. By the way, I got the B&N gift card. Thank you so much. Now, what shall I buy...

That is a great thought. It's hard to do that, but when I see it in a book, I'm always in awe of the craftsmanship of it.
