Speechless

I've just finished reading a book that has left me completely speechless. I just about couldn't restrain myself from gushing over it in a book review today, and then I thought about having nothing to review next week. Alas! Self-control won out for once, so you'll hear all about it on Wednesday. Get excited!

How often do y'all run across books that do that to you? What are some of those books that have made you want to drop everything and just read and then call all your friends and family telling them that they just have to get it and read it?

Wow! Now if this isn't a recommendation, I don't know what is! I can't wait to read your review and read the book myself!

Ah! I wanna know the book!!

Unfortunately for me, this has not happened since Harry Potter--but there have been some close runners up.

I'm glad your interest has been piqued. I haven't had one like this in so long, I'd almost forgotten how it felt.

These kinds of books are great. But don't think everybody will feel the same as you about it. I've found that hype goes along with taste. People raved about Twilight, and although I thought they were a fun read, they certainly didn't hit the top of my "I have to get EVERYBODY to read this meter"

I'd say The Great Gatsby... yeah, everybody should be jumping up and down about that one. But nobody does. It just depends on your taste.

I'm excited about your review. Hope I get a chance to read whatever this great book is! If you love it, chances are I will, too. :)

That is the best feeling. It happens mostly when I read one of my fave's - PD James, Ruth Rendell, Maeve Binchy, Nick Hornby...I am rarely disappointed by their writing. Rarely? Maybe never. It's so special to have your socks knocked off. Love that feeling.

Glam, That's the thing about literature. It is so subjective, but this one will please most I think. I loved The Great Gatsby. I think it helped that I didn't read it until I was in college. I was old enough to appreciate it.

Kristen, I do love the feeling.
