Snow Day!

North Carolina got a little bit of the old white stuff. Some of you might say big deal. Well, yeah, it is a big deal.

4-5" is more snow than we've gotten in several years.

It's looking up around here. Everything has shut down. We even lost power this morning for a couple of hours. That's why my post is later than normal. Everyone has been wired this morning.

Even the dogs. They were hilarious.

Buzz snow coated after all his frolicking...

My son ready to pummel me with a snowball.

My daughter ready to deck out the snow man. We just have to build it first.

Mmmm! Delicious snow!

This one just completely cracks me up. Regal can't resist licking the snow, but then this is the result. Brrr.

The leaves with snow match Regal. It's snow covered fall or Regal in nature.

Unfortunately, it's snow day 90% of the winter here. A few days I don't mind, but almost everyday is too much for me :),

Great pictures!

Great pics. I'm glad you guys are enjoying the snow. I, personally am done with cold this year. Too bad the weather refuses to agree with me.

And I'm in LOVE with your daughter's hair color. Oh my gosh, just gorgeous.

Awesome photos!
We're enjoying the snow as well! It's a huge deal!
I hope your snowman turned out great!

Jodi, Thanks. I'm so glad to be able to today esp. It means I have power.

Crimey, Thanks! As for the snow, it's all in what you get all the time. Our snow never gets gross and dirty. It melts before it ever gets to that point. In fact, we're supposed to have temps in the high 60s by the end of the week.

Natalie, Thanks! I love her hair too. My 14 year old daughter has the same color hair.

Becky, Thanks! Yeah, that snowman needs help!

I love it when you get a few days of snow but I'm glad we don't get a full winter of it. It's very Spring-like here right now - bright sunshine, nodding daffodils - the works. I'm glad of it although it was fabulous when it did snow.

My daughter's a red-head too but not that glorious rich colour. So beautiful!

Your dogs make me laugh. My Pooch went bananas when it was snowing, chasing around in circles like a lunatic. That brain freeze pic is a hoot!

Enjoy your snow days. I hope your snowman turns out well.

GORGEOUS pictures! The first one ... with that speckle of sun shining through ... stunning!!!!

Kiersten said...

Yes, I'm going to echo the hair love for your daughter!

Beautiful pictures!

Janey, Thanks! Yeah, snow loses a lot of it's allure when you get tons of it and it never goes away. Don't you just love red headed kids. I have 2 of them. It's fun.

Ronnie,Thanks to you too. I'm so glad to have someone new stop by.

Kelly, Thanks. I love trying to get those sun sparkles in there. That one was simply irresistible.

Kiersten, the little one thanks you! She loves the attention that her hair brings her. The 14 year old, who has the same color hair, hates all the attention. It's funny how everyone is different.

Beth, Yeah! I LOVE my camera. It's all about the lenses.

These are great photos. They're all good, but I'm a sucker for the dog photos. It looks like Buzz and Regal enjoy playing rough.

lotusgirl said...

Suzanne, It was fun. No need to be too jealous. It's about half gone already.

Mary Kay, They do. They love to nip each other. I guess it's a dog thing.

That can't be my Maggie, the little doll baby that sat in my lap every Sunday... "Do any human beings ever realize life while they live it?--every, every minute?" Miss all of you so much!

Justus, Dogs are great fun, but they can be a real pain sometimes too.

Celeste, Yep, that's her. They just keep growing. She still has the same personality. Haha! I miss you too. You're going to have to check out my book review tomorrow. I think you would really enjoy the book.
